We have the Ugolini two bowl machine, and it takes about an hour to get the slush to a state where we can sell it. This is especially miserable when we run out it the middle of the day. We clean the filter regularly and give it enough space for the air to circulate freely around it. Is it taking so long for everyone else? Do you have a different machine, how long does it take?

Dear Amr, agree with you we have the same problem. We had similar problem and at one point it took almost 1.5 hours and still the slush was not ready. What did work at that point was that we switched the machine off and back on and hey presto, all went well. The issue comes on and off, one thing is clear that these machines don't seem to be consistent in time taken to get slush ready...may be due to the outside temp perhaps..
The new machines James talked at the convention may be the way to go perhaps. If anyone else had any other ideas, may be of help??

Hello guys, We have only been using the Slushy Machines from BUNN for a year now and had no problems with them as long as we kept them clean and tidy at all times and checked the filters regularly. I don't have any knowledge of the Ugolini brand for this type of machines but I would recommend the BUNN ones as they are easy to set up and use, easy to clean and give an excellent product for selling. This will not help you fixing your existing problem but will give you an idea of what other stores use and feedback on that. Hi all , I opened the left hand panel of our machine on Sunday , cleaned the filter- a plastic mesh, as it had dust- washed it. After a quick drying up on the oven , placed it back. The right hand side does not have a dust filter attached. I did noticed that the machine front and side metal plates get warm so may be an idea to use this as a guide to see if it need a clean or not. Is this what others have noticed and used as a guide?? I am going to leave it for a week and recheck and report back. We have the same machine Amr. I am thinking would it be an idea to pour the slush in say an empty milk carton end of the day and leave the liquid in the fridge and in the morning pour back in the slush machine to help is get ready quicker due to temperature differential to kiosk temp???
Our machine rear side faces seated customer ---thinking its not very exciting marketing---perhaps there are ideas out there...what say you all? Sujal

Hi Sujal
I think you have done the right thing by removing the air in-take filter to clean it. depending on the air temperature and humidity, my Ugolini can take up to 20 minutes when I refill. Since April, I have been cleaning my filter once a week because it's particularly dusty this time of year. I have had my machine for about ten months now and was told at the time it was the best in the market for about £2000. I have since found that not to be the case. That is a different matter. Just keep cleaning the filter regularly and it will be fine. They are quite good machine nevertheless.

Hi all
Good day to you all. I see not many new updates so here goes... On the Slush machine front, we have developed a leak from one of the taps. Called Jestic as its under warranty ...guess what they have had to order parts..going to take a week !! you would think that suck items would be normal parts they carry.... well until we get it we have a leaky slush---more work and frustrating, but do not understand why taps are already playing up.
Has anyone tried to change these --I see they are on ebay to buy??? not sure if this is the route after warranty is finished.
